Woman Shares Four Things She Refuses to Do for Her Husband, and People Are Calling It a ‘Nightmare’

A woman recently shared the four tasks she refuses to do for her husband, and many people online are saying her approach sounds like a ‘nightmare’.

Marriage is often seen as a team effort, where each partner plays their part, and if there’s too much solo thinking, it might make the relationship rocky.

In many relationships, couples divide tasks, with one partner taking on certain responsibilities while the other handles different ones. But this woman has gone viral for her video outlining the specific duties she won’t take on for her husband.

On TikTok, Jessy explained her perspective on why she steers clear of these four particular tasks in her marriage.

Cooking

Family dinners are cherished moments in many households, offering a rare chance to connect over a good meal. For Jessy’s family, though, it’s unlikely her husband is joining these meals — unless he’s perfected his own cooking schedule.

“I do not cook for my husband, only my children. My husband will be making his own breakfast, lunch and dinner,” Jessy said.

Bills

When it comes to managing finances, every couple finds what works best for them. Whether they split the bills equally or divvy things up differently, it’s usually a shared understanding.

However, based on Jessy’s video, many viewers feel that her approach lacks teamwork in this area.

“I do not help him pay any bills, so if he is short on the rent or utilities, it is not my problem I will not be helping him out,” she added.

“His job is to provide for his family. I am not financially contributing to any of the bills.”

Laundry

Another responsibility Jessy doesn’t take on for her husband is doing his laundry, including all the post-wash tasks.

She elaborated: “I do not do his laundry. I have my own laundry and my children’s laundry to do, so he can do his own. I will not help him put it away, I won’t help him fold – that’s his responsibility.”

Replenishing Essentials

It seems that her husband is also on his own when it comes to restocking essentials like soap and shampoo, as Jessy won’t be picking those up for him.

“He is responsible for replacing any of his essentials like soap and shampoo,” she said.

“Even if I am at the store, I will not be replacing it for him.”

Jessy went on to add: “If he needs new underwear or socks, that’s for him to do.”
